Cole Young keeps it simple
His go-to coffee order is a vanilla latte. He prefers to stick close to the team hotel during road trips rather than exploring the city. His walk-in outfit, as captured by team photographers, is usually joggers and a plain t-shirt. You could, fairly, call it boring; Cole Young prefers to call it keeping things simple. […]

Gabe Speier is back, but not better than ever. Yet.
After struggling through April, Gabe Speier took a trip to the Injured List to let a little inflammation in his shoulder subside. What’s happened since then is a puzzle: His stuff looks better than ever, but while his ERA is a gorgeous 2.05, his xERA, FIP, and SIERA are at all-time highs for his Mariners […]

Mariners come to life, crush Reds 8-0
The Mariners kept ‘00s weekend running with a Monday dismantling of the Reds re-enacting Evanescence’s 2003 three debut single “Bring Me To Life.” This season fans have bemoaned lifeless at-bats and flat outings, begging the team that electrified the city last summer to show some semblance of their former selves. Now that I know what […]

Thanks for the tips. We’re still pursuing details of this crash at 35th and Brandon, south of Camp Long, but we do know the traffic disruption was fairly short-lived – medic crews cleared quickly after being dispatched around 8:50 pm. A tow truck’s already there.

Eugenio Suárez returns to T-Mobile Park for the first time since the 2025 playoffs; he’s sure to get a warm welcome from Mariners fans. READER REPORT: ‘Old friend came down today’ as Hiawatha Play Area construction
A couple readers mentioned the start of key work today on the years-in-the-making Hiawatha Play Area move. Bruce Curtis sent a photo and report with a bittersweet take on one aspect: >Blockquote> This morning the neighborhood’s favorite playground equipment came down. Hiawatha’s big swings left us today.
